Radley Signature Bags
In the Spring/Summer of 2002, Radley produced its first signature handbag “Beach
Huts”.
Since then Radley Signature Bags have continued to be produced for each Spring/Summer and
Autumn/Winter season and are only available for a limited time after their release. Each of these limited edition
picture bags shows Radley on a fun adventure. These handcrafted unique bags are decorated with intricate leather
appliqué designs and stitching. Each bag captures the special touches of humor and eccentricity that embody the
brand and are well loved by Radley fans and collectors.
Beach Hut – Spring/Summer 2002

Gnomes - Spring/Summer 2003
Beach Huts – Spring/Summer 2003
The original “Beach Huts” signature bag from the Spring/Summer season of 2002 was revamped
to produce a second edition of the same name in 2003.
Armchair – Autumn/Winter 2003
Garden – Spring/Summer 2004
Explorer – Autumn/Winter 2004
The “Explorer” bag marked a huge increase in the popularity of the brands handbags and it
was around this time that the Radley signature bags started becoming collector’s items. This bag also began the
tradition of producing other style variations matching the original such as the large matinee style purse that was
created to go along with the “Explorer”.
Up, Up and Away – Spring/Summer 2005
Away Day – Autumn/Winter 2005
Home Sweet Home – Spring/Summer 2006
Retail Therapy - Autumn Winter 2006
With the release of the “Retail Therapy” handbag, Radley introduced an accompanying small
zip-up purse attached as well as the trademark “Dog Tag” with all Radley signature bags.
By The Seaside - Spring Summer 2007
Walk in the Woods - Autumn Winter 2007
Just 250 grab bags and 250 tote bags were produced in this sought after design, both of
which came with an accompanying matching purse. Like the very first numbered limited edition “COTTAGE” bag of which
only 500 were produced, it too is accompanied with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Complete with attached
matching purse like the more recent Radley signature bags. This particular design was only sold in the London
Radley shops and is already a collector's item commanding prices in excess of $700!
Joyride – Autumn/Winter 2007
Springtime - Spring Summer 2008
The Radley dog can be seen through a window watering a bed of brightly colored blooms in this most recent
signature bag design made with a touch of humor and delight that embodies the Radley brand. The bag was also
available as a large tote bag that was only available exclusively direct from Radley and not stocked by any other
retailer.
Tearaway – Autumn/Winter 2008
This signature bag features the lovable Radley Scottie in a mischievous scene tearing a piece of upholstery from a
chair. Available in two styles, large grab bag and tote bag, and comes with the matching coin purse. The “Tearaway”
bag departs from the darker, Autumnal tones of previous Radley Autumn/Winter designs with the predominant pastel
pink.
Without a Paddle – Spring/Summer 2009
This signature bag’s scene shows the Radley Scottie dressed in a blue blazer and boater hat punting on a river
with his owner, who is humorously reading a book entitled “Terrier Training” under a large white and yellow
parasol. Highlighting the playful spirit of Radley design, handcrafted leather detail and creative stitch patterns,
make a fun and colorful bag, which is sure to be a treasured addition to any picture bag collection. The bag
features pastel greens that contrast nicely with the flowers on the riverbed and the colorful boat. A nice piece of
detail are the ducks on the river, one of which has got it's backside in the air as it searches for its dinner.
Radley Get Me Outta Here - Autumn/Winter 2009
The latest Radley signature bag was released on August 27, 2009 and was available at all Radley stores and on
www.radley.co.uk. The bag features the Scottie dog in a jungle scene trying to catch an
exotic butterfly. He's dressed as an explorer wearing a monocle. There are some great details on this bag such
as the little leaf cutting ants parading along a tree branch in single file or the Scottie's tent. The exotic
foliage in the background lends the scene a little color but the bag is predominantly khaki in color.
Radley signature bags as well as the Radley Limited Edition Bags reinforce how Radley has built its brand and
along with the Scottie icon are major reasons why these bags are so coveted by their fans.
